• HOW CAN I GO GREEN AT THIS EVENT?

This year we have an event-wide low-waste initiative. We're working to reduce our typical waste level by 75%, while saving you money, and showing how we can build and beautify community without all the trash.

What we ask of all of our non-food vendors is:

1) For informational sheets and cards, print a large one that you prominently display. Ask guests to take a picture of it and share it. Our experience is that guests LOVE this change. This is a huge and simple booth-hack that:

  • Gives you wider potential distribution.

  • Gives your guests less to carry.

  • Keeps the info on their phone where they won't simply lose it or immediately toss it into the trash.

  • Saves you money on printing.

2) Avoid unnecessary giveaways. Little plastic trinkets, pens, and other such items are usually a burden and many end up in our trash cans. Try to give people info that guests can  carry on their phones and in their heads, research, and share. :)

3) We will have water distribution hubs. So, please bring your refillable and don't worry about bringing bottles to hand out.

4) No vending plastic bags. If your art prints or other items come in plastic containers already, that's okay. If you have options we recommend reused or compostable (paper/cardboard/matboard) containers whenever possible.

Much of the importance of an event-wide effort is that the audience is clear and comfortable with the the adaptations that we're all making. At the end of the night, we should all end up with less stuff, more money, and just as much (or more) accomplished.

• I HAVE A QUESTION THAT WASN'T LISTED HERE!
