General Information
Art and education are complex and personal activities. We recommend that all prospective students contact director Miles Lewis and schedule a 15 minute period before or after the first class to review work and objectives. Contact Miles at 8183902215.

Types of Class
General classes run throughout the year, save major holidays (check schedule to confirm). Students may enroll in these classes at any time during the year, space and curriculum permitting. Free instruction is always provided in the first class. If a student begins mid-month, the tuition will be prorated for the number of classes remaining in the month. Inclusion in the next month’s class is confirmed at the end of the last class of each month. Maximum enrollment in any one class is limited to 20 students.

Drop-in workshops are continuous weekly or monthly life drawing sessions.

Workshops – including one-day workshops, masterclasses, and mini-series – are focused, specific classes that take place over one or two sessions. Workshops are usually designed to be accessible for all levels, unless otherwise specified. Supplies are generally included in the cost of the class, unless otherwise specified.

Payment, Cancellation & Refund Policy

Enrollment for all classes can be accomplished through online registration or in person at the beginning of each class or group of classes.  Payment is due at the time of registration and all forms of payment are accepted.

Tuition payments are non refundable for once the class begins.  Students or parents of children wishing to withdraw from a General Class must notify the Academy at least one week prior to the beginning of a new month. Refunds shall not be permitted withdrawal prior to the end of the month.

For one-day and mini-series Workshops , students must give notice of cancellation no less than 2 weeks prior to the Workshop for which a full a credit or refund shall be given. No refunds shall be given thereafter.

Absence & Makeup Policy
VAA has an absence and makeup class policy that gives students the opportunity to make up a missed class or classes. In such cases, a student or parent must notify VAA (not their instructor) of the student’s absence at least 24 hours in advance of the class.

The student will be permitted to make up each class missed by either
1) attending an equal number of Live Drawing workshops or
2) extending enrollment in the General classes into the next month by the number of classes missed and prorating the next month’s tuition accordingly.

If you a student anticipates missing a specific number of classes, the student must contact Miles to ensure that the student can be accommodated in make up classes. Miles Lewis - 8183902215

Students shall be required to provide their own basic supplies for each makeup class unless other arrangements have been made.

• To schedule a makeup, contact VAA no more than 48 hours in advance of the next class to confirm that there is available space
